As gas prices rise, so goes the industry of ecommerce and ecommerce marketing, buying and selling goods online. I think that as gas hits $5, $6, or even $7, people will stop wanting to go anywhere to buy the things they need. Everything will be ordered online and shipped or brought to them by the company. The obvious places you see this is on sites like ebay or amazon. Where you might not expect is on restaurant websites, you can order food and it is delivered to your door. This isn’t too revelutionary because the delivery food has always been there but the idea that is done online now is moving even closer to transaction done online. You can buy absolutely anything online that you would ever need. You need wholesale authentic pirate merchandise, it can be to your house within a day or two. You need a motor scooter or a tea kettle or toothpaste? It can all be found to buy online and can be to your house in a day or two. The food you order online is delivered in just a few hours. People keep in touch online, do there banking online, buy merchandise, buy food, do anything and everything online, making the trip to the store obsolete. I predict you will see less and less free standing stores as people move into the next generation of shopping.
